The clock was ticking. With 15 minutes to create a 5-minute presentation about a completely unknown website – Pictory.ai – and only remote communication with my team (Hunter, Hirwa, Bryce, and Michael) through Notion, panic could have easily set in. But here’s how we tackled the challenge.

First, collaboration was key. We created and shared a Google Slides presentation, allowing everyone to edit and add content simultaneously. To maximize efficiency, we leveraged the power of Notion as well. A shared group page became our central hub. Here, we used Gemini, a large language model, to answer our questions about Pictory. Each team member focused on a specific aspect, with their findings added to the Notion page. This constant flow of information ensured everyone stayed on the same page (figuratively, of course).

While I compiled the gathered information onto the presentation slides, the others braved the unknown territory of Pictory itself. Their mission: transform a blog post into a captivating video. Unfortunately, Pictory had its own plot twist – it got stuck loading at a frustrating 48%. Time wasn’t our friend, and this technical hurdle forced us to adapt.

Despite the setback, the collaborative spirit remained strong. While we couldn’t showcase the video creation process, we focused on explaining Pictory’s features and benefits through the compiled information. We used screenshots from the website and our combined knowledge to paint a picture of what Pictory could do.

In the end, the pressure cooker environment fostered a creative solution. We presented a clear understanding of Pictory, even without the video demonstration. The experience was a testament to the power of teamwork, resourcefulness, and the ability to adapt under tight deadlines – a valuable lesson learned, even if Pictory didn’t quite cooperate on this particular occasion.
